Resolution No. MS-DM-RM-5322-2020 includes nations from the Asian continent such as Japan, Thailand, and China and from Oceania; Travelers from Uruguay will also be able to visit the country.
In addition to the countries of the Schengen zone, the European Union, the United Kingdom and Canada that could arrive from August 1, now Asian nations such as Japan, Thailand and China are included in the list; from Oceania -Australia and New Zealand-, while from Latin America travelers will be allowed to arrive from Uruguay.

Those who choose to visit the country must meet three entry requirements.
The first of these is to have international or national medical insurance that covers medical expenses generated by the COVID-19 disease, minimum medical expenses equivalent to the costs of being admitted to a hospital for the time required, and minimum coverage of 14 days for lodging expenses.

In addition to medical insurance, tourists must present a negative COVID-19 test taken a maximum 48 hours before the passenger flies to Costa Rica and complete the digital form called the Health Pass.
